Ford F150 Wins Uphill Towing Battle

Let’s set the scene: three trucks, operating at 105 degrees Fahrenheit, pulling 7,000 pounds, running the air full blast, climbing a 6 percent grade up a three-mile stretch of Davis Dam in northern Arizona. The 2.7-liter 2015 Ford F-150, the size of a four-cylinder with the ability to match a V8 for work, beat the Chevy 1500 Silverado, powered by a 5.3 V8, and the Ram 1500 3.0-liter EcoDiesel.
